The Problems
From Brick-and-Mortar to Digital Marketplace
Venu’s Digital Arcade didn’t have an existing webshop or a significant online presence. They wanted a webshop that is fast and provides a great user experience, integrated seamlessly with their existing ERP solution. Additionally, their existing logo was more suited to physical or print media, posing a design challenge to create a modern digital interface that matched their branding.
The Challenges
The customer didn’t have an existing webshop or not even a good online presence that means - we had to start from the very scratch. As they relied completely on 2Hats Logic for technology recommendations, we had to be really careful in picking the right solution for them. They wanted a webshop that is blazing fast and provides a great user experience. Another challenge was to make sure the systems can be integrated with their already existing ERP solution.
A small design challenge was to match a modern design with a logo that was more in line with physical or print media.
Incomplete Vuestorefront project required extensive custom development
Built a fully functional frontend app as a reusable PWA template.

The Solution
The customer wanted a unique website which reflects their identity. Our design team worked closely with the customer to create something thats appealing to the eyes as well as has a better user experience.
Based on the requirements of building a fast website with outstanding usability we chose Magento 2 as the backend solution and frontend as Vuestorefront. Magento 2 is an open-source ecommerce platform it was chosen for it’s maturity and plugins availability in the Indian market and for the payment gateways. Vuestorefront is also an open-source project for Vue.js based storefront. Vuestorefront was selected for its lightweight and better performance. We did create multiple modules in Magento for the missing parts in Vuestorefront and also customized Vuestorefront for better integration. Tally ERP was integrated for data synchronization between the online store and core inventory.
Results
We were able to build an outstanding solution from a design perspective as well as technology perspective. We created the designs that aligns well with the logo and brand identity of the customer. The design uses the real-estate quite well as it should be for something like a home appliances/electronics online store. We were able to achieve really good pagespeed scores and more over an experience that makes users keep on browsing. The website is fast and gives an app-like experience. Being a Progressive Web App - it also has the ability to be sent to the mobile home screen to act like an app.
It was a great team effort with the customer and the team of 2Hats Logic working together and all stake holders are happy in the end!
