How to Fix the Product Listing Page Cover Image Not Showing in Shopware 6
Recently while working with Shopware we encountered an issue with the cover image for a product listing page that wasn’t displaying correctly on the Shopware store. After analyzing it for a while, we found that the problem was related to duplicated images in the backend.
The issue occurred because the product image was being uploaded multiple times with the same filename using a sync API. Shopware was unable to properly reference the correct image, as it identified multiple instances of the same image in the backend. Take a look at how we solved this issue.
Steps to Fix Product Listing Page Cover Image Not Showing in Shopware
To resolve the issue, we took the following steps:
Step 1. Access the Backend
Log into the Shopware admin panel.
Step 2. Identify the Duplicated Image
- Navigate to the Media section.
- Search for the product image that was duplicated.
- Look for instances where the image had been uploaded multiple times under the same name.
3. Remove Duplicate Images
Delete the duplicate images that had the same name but were uploaded multiple times.
Ensure only one instance of the image remains in the media library.
4. Clear Cache
After removing the duplicates, clear the cache in Shopware to ensure that the changes are reflected on the front end.
5. Verify the Product Image
Go to the Product Listing Page and verify that the correct cover image is now displayed.
After removing the duplicated images, the issue was resolved, and the correct product cover image began showing on the product listing page.
